Community Members discuss the Common Good Card at an event hosted at Blank Space on November 14th.
The Common Good Card is a powerful tool that can be wielded in many different ways. One of the most important aspects of the card is that it promotes conversation about money and our local economy. On November 14th, we hosted an event at Blank Space to discuss our current economic context and how we can use the Common Good Card most effectively going forward. Thank you The Electric Brew, Maple City Market, and Blank Space for sponsoring the event.
Around 20 people showed up for the event in which we shared a brief presentation, answered some questions, and discussed ideas. It was exciting to see people show up ready to discuss the card.
Here is the video of the main presentation. This presentation was designed as a fairly comprehensive introduction to what the card is, how it operates, and why we believe it is important to bring the card to Goshen. The presentation was given by David Leaman-Miller.
We plan to hold more events like this in the future, so stay tuned for more information.
